Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the title of distinguished chair in psychology of the University of California Davis and is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acknowledged as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer, received many grants and was awarded many international and national prizes. She has worked with numerous government agencies and governments across the globe regarding policies and research related to child victims within the legal system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of numerous professional associations for example, those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She also is a founding participant of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
