Adults are human or other animal that is at the full growth.The biological meaning of the word means an animal reaching sexual maturity, which makes it capable of reproduction. In the context of humans adults have meanings associated with social and legal concepts. Legal adults, in contrast to "minors" (also known as non-adults) can be defined as someone of the majority age and thus considered to be independent, responsible and autonomous. An adult who is legally mature can be referred to as a major. The age of 18 is the legal adult age, but this definition can differ depending on the country, rights of the law or psychological development.

Adulthood refers to the time in the lifespan of a human being during the time when both intellectual and physical maturation has been achieved. Adulthood is typically considered to begin at the age of 20 or 21. Middle age, commencing around 40 years old and is followed by the onset of old age at about 60 years. The beginning of adulthood occurs between the age of 18 to 30. Middle adulthood occurs from in the 30s to the 60s. Late adulthood starts at mid-60s. Physical maturation has been completed by the time we reach our early adulthood years (20-40s) however, your weight and height could increase slightly. During young adulthood we reach the peak of our physical ability.
