Holly is engaged to actor Danny Quinn. In the first time she was married, it was to Danny Quinn. The couple got married in 1992 and divorced two years later in 1993. Jim Carrey met her in 1994 while attending his Ace Ventura Pet Detective auditions. While she wasn't offered the job, Jim Carrey and she became close during filming for Dumb and Dumber. The couple got married in 1996. The couple divorced in less than one year. The year 2001 saw her marry Francis Greco. He was a Canadian investment banker. The couple had three sons named Henry, George and Alexander Holly Greco. She became Canadian in 2008 while she was married to Greco. The couple divorced in 2014. Holly is a resident of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, with her three children. Holly, Grant Grant's family along with the Hobart William Smith Colleges established an A Fund to honour her brother Alexander. Holly stated that Alexander "was one of the boys with a lot of dreams, hopes and plans". Though he only had 14 when he passed away He had travelled extensively in Europe as well as Central America, lived in New York City and Los Angeles, and these experiences led him to develop a love with archaeology and architecture.

Alaina was born on the 8th November 1994 to Kristy and J. J. Suddeth of Rossville, Georgia. Alaina's father, who is a process engineer based in Tennessee, began singing at age three. Her first public appearance in a child's choir as well as at a karaoke venue on an annual family vacation. The singer sang at church, restaurants, celebrations with the family, and everywhere within 30 miles of where she lived. Alaina took home the Southern Stars Pageant talent contest at age 8. The winner was selected to perform on the Kids Talent stage of Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. The stage was used every year until she reached the age of 12, at which point she was crowned the winner of a competition which allowed her to perform on the festival's big stage. At the age of ten she traveled from Orlando, Florida for the American Model and Talent Competition. She won the event over 1,500 competitors. Alaina was a part of the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association children's choir. Alaina was just 12 years old when she made her first trip to Nashville. She performed at Tootsie's and at other local bars on Broadway. In 2009, Alaina was the first winner of the WinniSTAR youth talent contest at Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park.In addition the stage, Alaina wrote several songs like Leaving and the song Set Me Free. Alaina, Holly Witherow's cousin who has a cancerous brain tumor, inspired her to sing. Alaina was a Pizza Hut employee prior to joining Idol. She was a graduate of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe School, Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
