Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. Her name is associated with the start of the modern study of the memory of children's eyewitnesses as well as the role of children as victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received numerous prizes and grants. She has advised numerous government agencies and governments around the world about policies as well as research related to the treatment of child victims by the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services.
